1. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Pets News Network (“PNN”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Pets News Network website located at www.petsnewsnetwork.com, its subdomains, associated mobile applications, newsletters, social media channels, and all other digital platforms operated under the PNN brand (collectively, the “Platform”).
By accessing or using the Platform in any manner, you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue your use of the Platform immediately.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Pets News Network. We encourage you to read them carefully before proceeding.
2. ABOUT PETS NEWS NETWORK
Pets News Network is India’s first dedicated media platform for the pet and animal industry. PNN publishes professional journalism, expert-led editorial content, product reviews, veterinary guidance, industry news, and lifestyle content pertaining to pets and the broader pet care ecosystem. PNN is operated by Old Wise Oak Media and is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
3. ELIGIBILITY
3.1 The Platform is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. If you are under 13 years of age, you are not permitted to access or use the Platform.
3.2 If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you may use the Platform only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.
3.3 By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under applicable law.
4. USE OF THE PLATFORM
4.1 Permitted Use. You may access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes, including reading editorial content, subscribing to newsletters, and engaging with the PNN community, subject to these Terms.
4.2 Prohibited Use. You agree that you will not:
a) Copy, reproduce, republish, redistribute, transmit, or commercially exploit any content published on the Platform without prior written permission from PNN;
b) Use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
c) Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, its servers, or associated systems;
d) Upload, post, or transmit any content that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, threatening, harassing, hateful, or otherwise objectionable;
e) Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
f) Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or other means to extract data from the Platform without express written consent from PNN;
g) Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, performance, or security of the Platform or its associated infrastructure;
h) Use the Platform to send unsolicited commercial communications (spam) of any kind;
i) Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits any other user from accessing or enjoying the Platform.
4.3 PNN reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time and without prior notice if, in its sole discretion, you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that is harmful to PNN, its users, or third parties.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
5.1 Ownership. All content published on the Platform — including but not limited to articles, photographs, videos, graphics, logos, audio recordings, newsletters, infographics, and the PNN brand identity — is the exclusive intellectual property of Pets News Network or its licensed contributors, and is protected under applicable Indian and international intellectual property laws, including the Copyright Act, 1957 (India) and the Trade Marks Act, 1999 (India).
5.2 Restricted Use. You may not reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from the Platform without prior written authorisation from PNN.
5.3 Limited Personal Use. You may share links to PNN articles on personal social media accounts or messaging platforms, provided that full attribution to Pets News Network is clearly visible and the content is not altered in any way.
5.4 Third-Party Content. Certain content on the Platform may be owned by third parties, including contributors, photographic agencies, and partner organisations. Such content remains the property of its respective owners and is used by PNN under licence or applicable fair use provisions.
5.5 User-Submitted Content. If you submit any content to PNN — including letters, comments, photographs, or suggestions — you grant PNN a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute such content in connection with the Platform, without any obligation of compensation or attribution to you.
6. EDITORIAL CONTENT AND ACCURACY
6.1 PNN is committed to publishing accurate, fair, and responsibly sourced journalism. However, all editorial content published on the Platform is provided for informational and general awareness purposes only.
6.2 Nothing published on the Platform constitutes professional veterinary, medical, legal, financial, or dietary advice. Always consult a qualified and licensed professional before making decisions based on information you read on the Platform.
6.3 PNN makes reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of its content at the time of publication. However, given the nature of news and evolving information, PNN does not warrant that all content on the Platform is complete, current, or error-free at all times.
6.4 PNN may update, amend, or remove any content from the Platform at any time and without prior notice, at its sole discretion.
6.5 Sponsored and Branded Content. PNN publishes sponsored articles, brand perspective features, and commercial content clearly labelled as such. These are produced in collaboration with advertising partners and may reflect the views of those partners. Such content is clearly distinguished from PNN’s independent editorial content.
7. HEALTH AND VETERINARY CONTENT DISCLAIMER
7.1 PNN publishes pet health guides, veterinary information, and animal care content for general educational purposes only. This content is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
7.2 You should always seek the advice of a qualified veterinarian regarding any medical condition affecting your pet. Never delay, disregard, or discontinue professional veterinary advice based on information you have read on the Platform.
7.3 In the event of a pet health emergency, contact a licensed veterinarian or animal emergency services immediately. Do not rely on the Platform as a source of emergency guidance.
8. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND EXTERNAL CONTENT
8.1 The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, products, or services that are not owned or controlled by PNN. These links are provided for your convenience and reference only.
8.2 PNN has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party website or platform. The inclusion of any link on the Platform does not imply endorsement by PNN.
8.3 You access third-party links at your own risk. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
9. NEWSLETTER AND COMMUNICATIONS
9.1 By subscribing to the PNN newsletter or any PNN communication service, you consent to receiving periodic emails from PNN containing editorial content, industry news, advertiser communications, and promotional information.
9.2 You may unsubscribe from PNN communications at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link found in every email communication or by contacting us directly at info@petsnewsnetwork.com.
9.3 PNN will not sell, rent, or share your email address or personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes without your explicit consent, except as set out in our Privacy Policy.
10. ADVERTISING AND COMMERCIAL PARTNERSHIPS
10.1 PNN carries advertising and commercial content from third-party brands and advertisers. All advertising content is clearly identified as such.
10.2 PNN is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of any advertiser’s claims, products, or services. Any transaction you enter into with an advertiser is solely between you and that advertiser.
10.3 The inclusion of any advertisement on the Platform does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or warranty by PNN of the advertiser’s products or services.
10.4 Advertisers and brand partners are subject to separate commercial agreements with PNN. The terms of those agreements are confidential and governed by separate insertion orders and contracts.
11. PRIVACY POLICY
11.1 Your use of the Platform is also governed by PNN’s Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data.
11.2 By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.
12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
12.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PNN, its directors, officers, employees, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from:
a) Your use of or inability to use the Platform;
b) Any errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or interruptions in content or service;
c) Any action you take based on content published on the Platform, including veterinary, health, or commercial information;
d) Any unauthorised access to or alteration of your data or transmissions;
e) Any loss of data, profit, goodwill, or business opportunity arising in connection with the Platform.
12.2 PNN’s total liability to you in connection with the Platform, regardless of the nature of the claim, shall not exceed the amount you have paid to PNN in the 12 months preceding the claim, or INR 500 (Indian Rupees Five Hundred), whichever is lower.
13. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pets News Network, its directors, officers, employees, contributors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising from or relating to:
a) Your access to or use of the Platform;
b) Your violation of these Terms;
c) Any content you submit to the Platform;
d) Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
14. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
14.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
14.2 Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
14.3 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
15. MODIFICATIONS TO THESE TERMS
15.1 PNN reserves the right to update, amend, or replace these Terms at any time at its sole discretion.
15.2 When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users via the Platform or email.
15.3 Your continued use of the Platform following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must discontinue your use of the Platform.
16. TERMINATION
16.1 PNN may terminate or suspend your access to the Platform at any time and without prior notice if you breach these Terms, engage in conduct harmful to PNN or its users, or for any other reason at PNN’s sole discretion.
16.2 Upon termination, all licences and rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease.
16.3 Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.
17. FORCE MAJEURE
PNN shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, power failures, internet disruptions, cyberattacks, pandemics, or civil unrest.
18. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with PNN’s Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and PNN with respect to your use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings relating to the same subject matter.
